Bulls say
Regal Rexnord is viewed favorably because accelerating data center demand is creating a step-change in AMC growth, with roughly $180 million of 2026 sales expected from the market, $735 million of ePOD orders, and a path to about $840 million of total data center sales in CY27. Broadening order momentum across aerospace, medical, and discrete automation, plus improving short-cycle demand and a healthier IPS backlog, supports a more resilient revenue mix even as PES remains pressured by residential HVAC weakness and tariff-related friction. The bullish case is further reinforced by deleveraging, with about $550 million of 2026 debt repayment and roughly $700 million in CY27 expected to lower interest expense, lift EPS, and push net leverage below 2.0x exiting CY27.
Bears say
Regal Rexnord is facing a weaker fundamental setup because management cut its 2H26 margin outlook across all three segments, citing lower productivity from slower integration actions, price-cost pressure as inflation runs ahead of pricing, and unfavorable mix. The company also has meaningful execution risk from a $127M unmitigated tariff impact in CY26, dependence on North America and industrial production, and sensitivity to delayed data center orders that support much of the 2027 and 2028 growth narrative. Even with 2026E adj. EPS near $10.70 and 2027E reduced to $13.05, persistent customer share loss, rising working capital needs, and a CEO transition could further pressure free cash generation and valuation.
