OppFi (OPFI) Stock Forecast & Price Target
OppFi (OPFI) Analyst Ratings
Bulls say
OppFi is experiencing short-term pressure on origination volume and credit tightening due to their high return hurdles, but this is a result of their commitment to maintaining competitive loan costs rather than decreasing monthly costs. Despite this, the company's top and bottom-line forecasts have been slightly revised downwards for the full year due to slower expected growth, including a delay in the rollout of their new line of credit product which will drive an estimated $10M of the revenue downside. However, this slow growth also presents an opportunity for OppFi to improve the performance and efficacy of their new product and potentially increase originations in the long term.
Bears say
OppFi is positioned in the deep subprime spectrum, and its high APR installment loans face competition from both payday loan lenders and longer-term, lower interest rate lenders offering smaller monthly payments, leading to credit tightening and a miss in volume growth. Additionally, execution risks associated with the rollout of new products, as well as the pending bank acquisition, contribute to the analyst's lower-than-consensus EPS estimates for 2026 and the higher degree of risk associated with those estimates. Therefore, the analyst believes that the stock's current valuation is not justified and has lowered the price target to $11.
