Strategy Inc (MSTR) Analyst Ratings
Bulls say
Strategy is viewed positively because its balance sheet has been significantly strengthened, with more than $6.7B in cash, USD coverage for preferred dividends now at 17 months, and total coverage cited at roughly 26 months, giving management far more flexibility. The company’s new Digital Credit Capital Framework, including a 12% STRC dividend, a $1B preferred repurchase authorization, and a $1B MSTR buyback authorization, should help anchor preferreds near par and support common-stock mNAV. With Bitcoin spot up ~24% since last week’s Treasury announcement and mNAV near 1.01x versus the 1.2x assumption, Strategy appears better positioned to resume accretive BTC accumulation and drive BTC per share growth.
Bears say
Strategy is highly exposed to bitcoin, so a 28% BTC price decline since 1Q26 earnings and the risk of further weakness directly threaten enterprise value, capital structure support, and the stock’s leveraged upside thesis. Its preferred securities and debt stack add pressure because the USD reserve coverage ratio for dividends and interest fell to less than a year after the end of May convertible debt repurchase, while rising interest rates and additional issuance could weaken valuation support. On the software side, Strategy still depends on a single analytics platform in a highly competitive market, where privacy restrictions and weaker-than-expected traction from new cloud products could erode revenue and free cash flow.
