Bulls say
Guardian Metal Resources is viewed positively because its Pilot Mountain PFS materially expanded and upgraded the tungsten resource base, adding the Garnet zone and confirming 11.8M tonnes of probable resource grading 0.171% WO3, or 20,275 tonnes of contained metal. The recent Tremor and Good Hope drilling results further suggest additional mineralization beyond what was included in the PFS, supporting the possibility of a larger resource, longer mine life, and higher-grade production as the project advances toward a DFS in early 2027. The economics also look compelling, with estimated all-in sustaining costs of $581.51/MTU versus a current spot price of $3,075/MTU and year-1 EBITDA estimated at $348M under the base case, while Tempiute adds near-term optionality through stockpiles and tailings reprocessing.
Bears say
Guardian Metal Resources is exposed to substantial fundamental downside because its revenue, operating profitability, EBITDA, and cash flow are highly sensitive to tungsten pricing, while competition and potential new entrants could pressure prices further. Execution risk is elevated across its Nevada projects, with possible delays from supply chain issues, equipment problems, weather, capital cost overruns, and uncertainty around commissioning, utilization, and recovery rates. The company may also need additional debt or equity financing to fund expansion, and shifting geopolitical conditions or weaker critical-mineral policies could reduce the strategic value of its domestic tungsten assets.
