Litecoin

Litecoin was developed as an alternative peer-to-peer cryptocurrency that addressed some of Bitcoin’s inefficiencies at the time. Lee replicated Bitcoin’s code, but made several tweaks including one that would make the Litecoin network process a block 4 times faster than Bitcoin does.

Litecoin was created in 2011 by ex-Google engineer and MIT graduate Charlie Lee. 

Litecoin’s supply is capped at 84 million LTC. 

Litecoin was at the center of a hoax when it was falsely reported that the cryptocurrency reached an agreement with Walmart to be an accepted form of payment by the retailer. 

Litecoin (LTC) has been trading in the bullish trend zone since November 4. On November 23, the cryptocurrency reached a new high of $84. Litecoin cannot rise further as the market reaches the overbought zone.
